Purpose

We anticipate in providing Grants & Relief Materials to the ECOWAS States that are well-positioned to serve low-income communities extending to the middle-income level. The initial grants, expected to last three months (quarterly) in duration, will average $2,500 - $10,000. The purpose of these grants is to provide resources to support nonprofits that are on the front lines of this work and can move swiftly to serve affected communities.

Covid-19/Pandemic Outbreak & Crises Relief Fund

The ECOWAS RELIEF FUND in Partnership with the UNITED NATION is offering temporal relief to address the POST-COVID-19 pandemic & uproar crises emergencies affecting the Member States. We are aware of the enormous burden that existing Pandemic and several crises is having on our Member States and we are actively taking steps to provide assistance/aid where it is needed the most. The ECOWAS RELIEF FUND in Partnership with the UNITED NATION has created the Pre/Post COVID-19 pandemic & uproar Crises relief fund and to support individuals & Group residing within the  ECOWAS Member States. We will be providing micro-grants towards general aid, hunger relief, technology, mobility/transportation, mental health/counseling aid, and mentoring - an online educational support.

Who Can Apply

Individuals/Community Groups, NGO/Corporative Owners whose lives have been abruptly affected by Pre/Post Covid-19 Pandemic, Ongoing Pandemic Outbreak, uproar insecurity Crises have demonstrated a need for assistance, and the U.N Councils in the ECOWAS, and the A.U (African Union), whose mission is aimed to providing relief to local communities.

Covid-19/Pandemic Outbreak & Crises Relief Funding Options

ECOWAS RELIEF FUND is offering multiple funding options. We will be providing Individuals, Community Set and Businesses (Companies/SMEs) assistance. Below are guidelines for each group of funding.

Individuals Who Apply For Relief Funding May Utilize Their Grant For The

Following:

​

1. GENERAL AID

​

Funds may be used for:

  • Utilities and Kickstart Of Their Businesses

  • Medical services and childcare services

  • Personal protective equipment

​

2. HUNGER RELIEF

​

Funds may be used for:

  • Creating grocery boxes and hygiene kits.

  • Covering transportation costs associated with the

  • delivery of boxed groceries and hygiene kits.

  • Expanding local community gardens/farms that provide

fresh vegetables and agricultural produce

​

3. MOBILITY/TRANSPORTATION

​

Funds may be used for:

  • Covering traveling expenses for students going home from place of study.

​

Please note for Individual Category in addition to the application, please be prepared to show proof of identification and address. For college students, ECOWAS RELIEF FUND will accept Personal School ID Card

or School Enrollment Verification Proof.

For Community Set (NGOs/Cooperative) Founders Who Apply For Relief Funding May Utilize Their Fund For The Following:

Project Guidelines for Community Set

​

ECOWAS RELIEF FUND has identified the following priority groups to receive

assistance in communities. Although these are identified priorities, we will take all

applications and project plans into consideration.:

  • Individuals who have been displaced from their job due to Pre & Post COVID-19,

Ongoing Pandemic Outbreak & Security Crises

  • Farm-worker Community

  • Group Project of 500 Members

For Business (Companies & SMEs) Owners who apply for relief funding may utilize their stipend for the following:

​

Project Guidelines for Business Owners (Companies & SMEs)

  • Persons that own and run their businesses with staffs.

  • Business owners in importation supplies

  • Persons that process perishable goods for consumption.

  • Persons that are in Logistics etc.

  • and more to be added.

Funding Guidelines for Business Owners & Community Sets

​

You MUST adhere to the following funding guidelines:

  • Business Owners & Community Sets must be in good standing and enroll for quarterly registration through January - December Calendar year.

  • Funds must be used for the project indicated above, otherwise state contrary reason via Our Support Center.

  • Funds are prohibited to be used for terrorism, fire arm purchase & political agenda and pursuit.

  • Project guidelines must be used to manage funds, as explained above.

  • An end-of-project report must be submitted with the most accurate information. Failure to do so, or misrepresentation, will result in a negative standing with ECOWAS RELIEF FUND Program of the ECOWAS Member State Terms & Agreement resulting to legal action towards offenders
